Synopsis
1994 Chicago. Lucy bandages a stranger, not knowing he is Ace Cavallo, a feared mafia boss who claims her as his wife. When her fiancé and uncle sell her at her wedding, Ace saves her, offering 30 days as his wife for her mother's surgery. She accepts, learns he already paid. Through betrayals and attacks, Lucy finds devotion beneath his violence and confesses love. The Carters kidnap her. Ace wins a deadly blackjack gamble but takes a bullet. They wed in an empty church and ride into the night.
