Synopsis
During the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, Lin An—chairman of the top-ranked Wan'an Group—concealed his true identity and returned to his father-in-law's home with his wife, Su Yao, to celebrate the holiday. Hoping for a low-key family reunion, he instead faced cold disdain from his mother-in-law at the dinner table. She publicly belittled him for his perceived lack of success and even threatened suicide to force Su Yao to divorce him. Amidst the mockery and sarcasm of the relatives, Lin An remained silent, quietly enduring it all.
When he produced a check intended as "lucky money" for the children, his mother-in-law dismissed it with contempt, crumpling the check into a ball and tossing it onto the floor. Su Yao felt heartbroken for her husband but was powerless to change the situation. It was only when she stumbled upon corporate documents in Lin An’s briefcase that she realized the husband she lived with every day was actually a legendary figure in the business world.
Once the truth came to light, the attitudes of his mother-in-law and relatives underwent a complete reversal; they scrambled to curry favor with him. Yet, witnessing their ugly, opportunistic behavior, Lin An fell into deep contemplation. This farce not only tested the bond between Lin An and Su Yao but also compelled him to re-evaluate their marriage, leaving the path ahead filled with uncertainty and difficult choices.
